I am a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Civil Discourse Project within the Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke University. Before coming to Duke, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Philosophy Department at the University of Rochester. I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Columbia University in 2021.

My research focuses on ancient epistemology, particularly on the intersection of epistēmē (roughly, knowledge or understanding) and ethics in Plato and Aristotle. I also have interests in the history of epistemology, classical East Asian and South Asian philosophy, and philosophy of religion. Check out the menu bar to learn more about my research and teaching.

I grew up in Waco, Texas and received my B.A. in Philosophy from Princeton University. Outside of philosophy, I can be found running or playing the piano or pipe organ.
