I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Providence College. I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Columbia University in 2021. Before coming to Providence, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke University and the Philosophy department at the University of Rochester.
My research focuses on ancient epistemology, particularly on the role of epistēmē (roughly, knowledge or understanding) in Plato’s ethics and philosophy as a whole. I also have interests in the history of epistemology, classical East Asian and South Asian philosophy, and philosophy of religion. Check out the menu bar to learn more about my research and teaching.
I grew up in Waco, Texas and received my B.A. in Philosophy from Princeton University. Outside of philosophy, I can be found running or playing the piano or pipe organ.
